January 2024
After a short break, we are back for our very first wedding of the 2024 season! Caryn and Chaz envisioned a romantic and magical winter wedding full of reds, burgundys, pinks, and whites with an abundance of candle light to bring a warm and cozy atmosphere to the cold January night. We designed Caryn’s lush bouquet featuring bright red blooms of red heart roses and anemone paired with contrasting white and blush roses, calla lily, lisianthus, and light pink spray roses with accents of textural astilbe and pops of blue thistle. Bridesmaids held smaller bouquets focused more on the deep burgundy tones of the ranunculus blooms and hypericum berry to compliment mauve colored dresses. Chaz and his groomsmen adorned simple yet stunning burgundy ranunculus boutonnieres with eucalyptus greenery tied with red ribbon over classic black tuxedos.
Guests were welcomed into Pear Tree Estate’s foyer with a large scroll seating chart draped down the wooden paneled wall accented with trailing greenery over the couple’s unique candle wedding favors. Small gold compote bowl arrangements were added to various foyer tables to enjoy before entering the ceremony space. Flowers filled the room of the ceremony as guests found their seats down the long aisle decorated with large, tall gold stand arrangements paired with pillar candle clusters and greens on the floor all the way to the altar. Caryn and Chaz exchanged vows in front of two lush, asymmetric floral pillars filled with red, white, and pink roses with salal, huckleberry, and ruscus greenery and whimsical accents of curly willow. Whenever possible, we recommend your ceremony flowers to be used again during the reception to be enjoyed longer through the evening. In this case, tall gold stands with candles at the base were moved to serve as one style of guest table centerpieces and the floral pillars became the perfect backdrop to the newlyweds romantic sweetheart table.
As the winter sun set, guests found their seats at tables overflowing with fresh blooms, greens, and candles. Round tables were topped with either the tall ceremony pieces with candles at the base or large, romantic gold compote bowl arrangements paired with various floating candles and votives that popped over the crisp white linens. Rustic farmhouse kings tables boasted stunning dual gold compotes with an assortment of pillar candles, floating candles, votive candles, and greenery over a white table runner under hanging candle chandeliers with draping greenery for a full and magical centerpiece style. The bride and groom sat at their own sweetheart table topped with a lush red and white floral piece with draping greenery accented with floating candles at either side and an abundance of pillar candles on the floor in front to frame the couple in warm candle light. Lastly, we added fresh blooms of red and blush roses with blue thistle and touches of greenery to the newlyweds two-tier white with gold flakes wedding cake that stood atop a gold stand surrounded by other delicious desserts, flower arrangements, and greenery.
Caryn and Chaz’s bright red and white with pops of blue winter wedding was a perfect combination to kick off our season! Despite frigid January weather and winter storms, this couple’s day came together beautifully in a magical celebration that will long be remembered. Thanks for entrusting your vision to us at J.Blu Design. Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs.!
“I loved working with Julie! I hired her early in my planning process and I am so glad because she was able to take my early ideas and work magic. She is very talented. She is also extremely professional. We had some nasty cold weather on my wedding day and you couldn’t tell because she went above and beyond to make sure that the flowers were fresh and beautiful. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful wedding and her flower designs brought it to life! I am so grateful. Hire her!”
