Whitney & Brian | Romantic Sage Green and Peachy Earth Toned Summer Wedding at Pear Tree Estate in Champaign, IL

When Whitney and Brian shared the rich green tones and patterns they had selected for bridesmaids dresses, I immediately envisioned a floral palette of velvety mauve, soft peach, ballerina pink and creamy whites. We designed a lush, hand-tied bouquet for Whitney featuring playa blanca and mauve roses, peachy zinnias, white butterfly ranunculus, earthy carnations, and lisianthus, with textural elements of calcynia, eucalyptus, ruscus, and grevillea greens. This color palette in petite versions of the bride’s bouquet played perfectly off the shades of greens of the maids gowns as well as an even more miniature version for the flower-girl in a coordinating light sage dress. Brian, his groomsmen, and the adorable ring bearer each adorned a complementing traditional style spray rose boutonniere on blue suits with matching sage ties.

The reception hall at Pear Tree Estate practically begs for a statement piece that accentuates the high ceilings. Instead of placing many tall arrangements spaced evenly around the room, we focused attention on a single table in the center which held a large stunning arrangement atop a charming white urn paired on each side with bud vase arrangements, taper candles in gold candlesticks, and romantic glass votives. The remaining long tables were topped with the same runner of alternating miniature arrangements and mix of green and cream candles. Complimentary to the statement piece, we topped round tables with petite versions in the same rich color palette in antique gold compote bowls surrounded with elegant tapers. The last guest table style featured the same flower and candle composition arranged in an intricate cluster on round tables. Making a statement doesn’t always mean a grand and expensive design. For the head table, we added a simple trailing greenery runner down the front edge paired with candles woven throughout and added even more greens to a floating beam above topped with candlelight glow. Even the small details can make a big impact to make the design cohesive through the entire space.

When we get the opportunity to create with such a beautiful color palette in an equally stunning venue, it tends to stick in our mind. Whitney and Brian’s wedding was definitely one of our favorites of the season that we can’t help but come back to admire. Thank you for allowing us to design for you and we pray your first year of marriage is as joy-filled as this beautiful summer day was. Congratulations Whitney and Brian!
