Grace & Cyler | Modern Minimalist White Fall Wedding at Haven on the Farm in Peoria, IL

While we obviously prefer floral focused weddings, simpler, monochrome designs with just a few statement pieces can turn out being equally as breathtaking. Grace and Cyler chose an elegant and refined all-white look for their classic black tie affair featuring a single flower – the playa blanca rose. Grace and her maids’ minimalist white rose bouquets were an eye-catching stark contrast to their jet black off the shoulder gowns to pair with Cyler and his groomsmen in all-black as well.

We focused the most florals on Haven on the Farm’s back lane where the ceremony took place after a cool fall rain. The backdrop consisted of four identical large arrangements with additional blooms of hydrangea, stock, and carnations in romantic urns elevated on sleek, modern pillars to frame the couple. Post-ceremony, we moved these pieces to top tall trumpet vases used as thoughtfully placed centerpieces throughout the reception hall to accentuate the high barn ceilings. The rest of the farmhouse tables were neatly lined with black runners topped with alternating high-ball bud vase arrangements of a single crisp white rose and luxurious glass-covered taper candles in gold holders. The sheer quantity of candles made the whole space glow in warm candle-light for the entire evening. Simple yet breathtaking.

Overly colorful and complex designs although fun to make, can sometimes become too much altogether that turn out to be overwhelming. Grace and Cyler’s wedding is just one example of how simple design – in the right way, can lead to an elevated and sophisticated truly timeless look.
