Sydney & Cameron | Black and White Romantic Disco Ball Wedding at Pear Tree Estate in Champaign, IL

All white weddings are always on trend, but that does not mean they are all the same. Sydney and Cameron’s fall wedding at Pear Tree merged that timeless, romantic, and elegant look and elevated it with a touch of retro-glam for a high-energy, playful aesthetic to dance the night away. We designed Sydney’s large bouquet with lush playa blanca, spray roses and white lisianthus encompassed with delicate baby’s breath and touched in contrasting ruscus and silver dollar eucalyptus greens for a soft and romantic shape. Mini versions of the same bouquet complimented the maids’ silky black gowns along with added flower-women who preceded the bride down the aisle carrying white baskets and throwing crisp white rose petals. The men in the wedding party adorned classic traditional style spray rose boutonnieres while mothers were not overlooked with elegant corsages designed on metal cuff bracelets.

The altar in Pear Tree’s chapel was framed with romantic white draping to soften the light from the vast windows paired with asymmetrical, modern, all-white floor arrangements with candles intermixed in front. And of course to maximize the floral budget, we transitioned these pieces into the reception space after the ceremony to sit in front of the sweet-heart table. We added a coordinating baby’s breath cloud spotted with roses to the top of the table sided with romantic pillar candles to bathe the couple in a warm glow.

The remaining round and farmhouse tables were topped with simple, yet elegant centerpieces atop crisp white linens with a combination of single stem white rose bud vase arrangements and dreamy floating candles. Aside from the sweet-heart table being the center of attention, it was also the best seat in the house to view the remarkable installation over the dance-floor filled with lush greens with pops of baby’s breath and a variety of flashy disco balls that hung underneath for guests to dance the night away under.

Sydney and Cameron’s all-white wedding is proof that even a traditional color palette, with the right vision and execution, can be a glamorous, magical, unforgettable affair. Thank you to the happy couple for letting J.Blu play a small part of your most special, beautiful day. Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Bulow!

We can’t say enough amazing things about Julie! From our very first meeting, she completely understood our vision and brought it to life in the most breathtaking way. Every arrangement — from the bouquets to the centerpieces and hanging installation over the dance floor— was absolutely stunning and even more beautiful than we imagined. The flowers tied the whole day together and made everything feel so romantic and magical. We’re still getting compliments from guests! If you’re looking for someone who is talented, kind, and truly passionate about their craft, Julie is the one.
