Caseelynn & Marshall | Colorful, Rustic Summer Wedding at The Barn at Fairview Acres in Biggsville, IL

Caseelynn and Marshall celebrated their wedding day with lots of summer color for their August Wedding at The Barn at Fairview Acres. We chose to fill Caseelynns lush bridal bouquet with locally grown blooms of dahlias, cosmos, zinnias, lisianthus, scabiosa, ranunculus, calla lilies and globe thistle for hints of dusty blue with eucalyptus greenery to complete a light and colorful palette of summer favorites. Bridesmaids held smaller versions of the same bouquet with added accents of a deep raspberry color to pop off their light blush dresses. Marshall and his groomsmen adorned various shades of peach, blush, and raspberry ranunculus boutonnieres with eucalyptus greenery on navy blue suits to compliment the maids.

As agricultural families, it was only fitting that the couple’s ceremony took place in front of the corn crib at The Barn at Fairview Acres. The weathered panels of the barn served as a blank canvas to place a large white cross backdrop with a large floral spray attached filled with playa blanca, quicksand, and moab roses, locally grown dahlias, zinnias, cosmos, lisianthus and thistle with an abundance of ruscus and eucalyptus greenery to match a large greenery wreath that encircled the cross.

Long farmhouse tables filled the reception space of the barn topped with bud vase arrangements of the same colorful blooms that ran the length of the tables paired with various lanterns and pillar candles on wooden holders and a runner of eucalyptus greenery for a simple and rustic centerpiece style. We also added bud vase arrangements to adorn the dessert table to compliment the fresh blooms on the couples two-tier, naked wedding cake topped with adorable figurines of the couples favorite pups.

We love every chance to work with fun summer colors and support local flower farms. This wedding was no exception and will be frequently looked back on as a personal favorite. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Shimmin!
