It’s true as wedding florists, we see an abundance of all-white weddings. Yet, despite the amount we do every year, no two are alike. We design each wedding unique to the individual couples when it comes to style, flower choice, and overall atmosphere they want to portray. Delaney and Parker’s all white wedding was one of pure elegance and simplicity by using classic white blooms paired with rich deep greenery, black accents and clear glass vessels. We designed a cascading bridal bouquet for Delaney featuring lush playa blanca roses, double bloom lilies, aromatic freesia, and delicate lisianthus with dark trailing Israeli and Italian ruscus. Maids held traditional shaped lush bouquets of roses, lisianthus, and carnations with pops of Israeli ruscus to compliment silky satin light sage green dresses. Parker and each groomsmen adorned a luxurious pocket style boutonniere of white ranunculus and lisianthus blooms and buds backed with dark contrasting greens that popped off classic black tuxedos. My personal favorite detail of this wedding was incorporating the couple’s favorite German Shepherd pups with custom floral dog collars of white ranunculus, lisianthus and ruscus greenery against their fluffy dark coats.
We don’t often get the opportunity to design an outdoor ceremony at Pear Tree but luckily the summer weather was perfect for a back patio setup with a stunning lake backdrop. We lined the aisle with trios of pillar candles over beds of romantic white rose petals to lead the way to a show stopping altar piece. Delaney and Parker were met at the altar with a large wooden arbor adorned with dual floral installations filled with rich flowing greens and accents of bright white hydrangea, roses, lilies, carnations and lisianthus blooms as they exchanged vows on the most beautiful sunny day.
Back inside the reception space, round guest tables were covered with elegant black linens and topped with a combination of all-white flower arrangements paired with votive candles in romantic etched glass holders. One trending style we used and have been loving are what we call ‘en masse’ arrangements. These are simple, elegant pieces that feature multiple stems of a single flower variety clustered into one vase; in this case we showcased blooms of hydrangea, lilies, roses, carnations, tulips, and ranunculus and placed 3 on each guest table as well as along the edge of the head table. Another popular choice for centerpieces are compote arrangements, which is just a fancy term for an arrangement in a footed bowl. We love using these as they lift the design off the table and give opportunity to bring in unique elements with the style of container. Lastly, the couples three-tiered textured white wedding cake was decorated with clusters of fresh blooms and greens on each tier which featured adorable figurines of the couples aforementioned dogs and three cats nestled among the flowers.
This wedding was all about the details! Fresh designs, updated rentals, and the couple’s unique personal touches made another white wedding exciting and one that we will not soon forget. It was a joy to design for Delaney and Parker (and the pups) and we wish the newlyweds all the best!
