Emily & Jake | Romantic and Elegant Warm Neutral Summer Wedding at Haven on the Farm in Peoria, IL

As winter draws close and we near the end of our season, I can’t help but dream about the warm days of summer past. Nothing portrayed summer more than Emily and Jake’s elegant day featuring the warm color palette of peaches, oranges, and buttery yellows full of summer favorite blooms of local zinnias, cosmos, lisianthus, and dahlia at Haven on the Farm in Peoria, Illinois. Emily’s lush bouquet featured light blush quicksand roses, rich yellow roses, peach ranunculus, and seasonal favorites of lisianthus, cosmos, zinnias, and dahlias with added cream colored stock and textural waxflower to round out the warm neutral design. Champagne clad maids held petite versions of the same bouquet to compliment their sleek, silky satin dresses. Jake adorned a traditional style peach ranunculus boutonniere over a classic black tuxedo to match his stunning bride. Even the smallest members of the wedding party held the sweetest floral baskets as they walked down the aisle.

Emily and Jake’s intimate ceremony was held on the tree lined back lane of Haven where they were met at the altar with a stunning asymmetrical, broken arch floral arrangement. This ceremony statement piece was designed on varied height tall gold metal stands that were left partially exposed for a modern and elegant look. We filled the pillars with blush, yellow, and neutral toned blooms of roses, mums, stock, lisianthus, ranunculus, cosmos and waxflower with trailing greenery for a unique, organic effect. This kind of showstopper of course had to follow the couple back to the reception post ceremony to serve as a stunning backdrop to their sweetheart table paired with Emily’s bouquet and colorful taper and votive candles.

The farmhouse and round reception guest tables in the bright white barn contrasted beautifully with an abundance of classic, simple bud vase arrangements featuring the same muted toned flowers paired with neutral colored votives and taper candles in gold holders covered with glass chimneys for an added elegant glow. We enjoyed so much designing this wedding and getting to stretch our creativity with new pieces and a fun color palette. Thanks for trusting J.Blu with your wedding day vision.
