Kelli & Mitch | Romantic White, Blush and Eucalyptus Wedding at Pear Tree Estate in Champaign, IL.

October 2023

Kelli and Mitch chose a classic color scheme of whites with just the faintest touches of blush accented with light colored eucalyptus greenery for their intimate fall wedding. For Kelli, we designed a lush bouquet with some of our favorite blooms of playa blanca roses, majolica sprays, and lisianthus with quicksand roses to provide the blush tint and light draping of eucalyptus greens. The dusty blue clad bridesmaid and junior bridesmaid held smaller versions of the same lush bouquet.

The ceremony aisle at Pear Tree Estate was romantically lit with an abundance of pillar candles in glass chimneys to line the seat edges all the way to the altar. We paired various types of heavy eucalyptus greens to the candle bases to soften the look and fill the empty spaces to run the aisle length. We love to repurpose ceremony décor and flip it to the reception space to get full use of our rentals. All of these candles were able to be moved and used again to add even more glow to guest table centerpieces.

Guests found their seats on a unique seating chart composed of antique mirrors hand-lettered by Apricity Ink in the venue’s sun-filled foyer. Small accents of greenery were the perfect touch for added depth and dimension. This is one of our favorite seating chart designs we’ve seen to date! Simple, classic, and stunning. Once inside the reception space, guests were seated at either round tables with crisp white linens or long farmhouse tables. Both table styles boasted various sized taper candles in gold holders, pillar candles in glass chimneys, a mixture of votive candles and eucalyptus greenery with rounds being clustered in the center and long tables being arranged in a table runner style with added lush arrangements in clear vases spread down the length. Matching arrangements of white and blush blooms were placed on top of custom scroll bar menus paired with an assortment of votives. Last but not least, we added fresh blooms to the couple’s beautiful four-tier ‘naked’ wedding cake which sat atop a gold disk framed with a multitude of leftover pillar candles from the ceremony to fill the entire space with a romantic candle light glow.

Kelli and Mitch’s intimate wedding design only got more beautiful as the night went on as the candle filled venue dazzled in warm candle-light. A perfect fit for a cool, fall, midwest wedding night. Thanks for choosing J.Blu Design to make your vision come to life for an evening to remember. Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs.!
