Another beautiful summer day brings us back to the prairie landscape of The Hesed House Venue in Heyworth, Illinois. Madison and Gavin chose a classic, romantic white and fern greenery color palette with neutral native grasses for textural accents to compliment the picturesque scenery. For Madison, we designed a slightly cascading bridal bouquet of all white blooms featuring playa blanca roses, lisianthus, ranunculus and orlaya with deep green sword fern, ruscus, and eucalyptus greenery and pops of natural grass plumes and bunny tail. Bridesmaids in neutral taupe dresses carried smaller, organically shaped bouquets of the same flowers with dual junior maids with miniature versions of the same. Gavin, his groomsmen, and ring bearers adorned matching, classic style ranunculus boutonnieres with eucalyptus and bunny tail accents to pop off their elegant black tuxedos.
One of our favorite ceremony spots at The Hesed House is the back lawn overlooking a stunning lake which served as the perfect backdrop, paired with a large arbor, in which to exchange vows. We placed 4 large floral ground arrangements on either side of the aisle to run down the length leading to the grand arbor floral spray at the altar. Deep greenery of huckleberry, ruscus, and palm leaves composed the majority of the arrangements with pops of white roses, carnations, and pampas grass touched in for a cohesive, boho look.
Aisle runner pieces pulled double duty on this wedding being repurposed after the ceremony atop tall gold stands as eye-catching centerpieces during the reception paired with greenery and votives candles at the base with adjacent tables topped with simple, elegant bud vase arrangements paired with unique ribbed votive to create a long floral runner. The second guest table style featured dual small arrangements in glass vases filled with the same white and neutral blooms alternating with floating candle groupings with a ruscus greenery runner to fill the tables end to end. The couple also decided to reuse the ceremony arbor floral spray to adorn the white shiplap backdrop to the head table where bouquets were laid down on the front edge to be enjoyed the rest of the evening. Of course we never skip dessert! Madison and Gavin had a simple white, two-tiered textured wedding cake which we topped with fresh blooms of white roses, ranunculus, and lisianthus with light touches of ruscus greenery and ferns to round out the whole wedding design.
White and neutral weddings, while simple, continue to be classic, elegant, and timeless. We love incorporating greens and blooms that add texture, depth, and personality to compliment each unique venue and couple and make even white color palettes ones to remember. Thanks for choosing J.Blu to bring your vision to life. Congratulations to the Bauknechts!
