September 2023
Meredith and Hunter’s September wedding boasted earthy natural colors, dried grasses and neutral florals that were a perfect transition from summer to fall. Meredith’s boho bridal bouquet was filled with lush blooms of playa blanca and quicksand roses, caramel colored carnations, and brownie lisianthus with a focus of textural nigella pods, bleached ruscus, dried pennycress, and foraged grasses with light touches of silver dollar eucalyptus and olive greenery. Bridesmaids’ smaller, equally muted bouquets stunned against their contrasting burnt orange dresses that complimented groomsmens neutral khaki colored suits. Lastly, we designed two petite matching bouquets of a trio of roses with dried grasses for the blush dressed junior maids.
The couple’s wedding ceremony took place on Haven on the Farm’s tree lined lane behind the main house. Two large symmetrical arrangements were set at the back of the aisle behind the chairs leading way to a rustic, A frame triangle arbor. The boho arch was adorned with a large floral spray on one side filled with roses, carnations and lots of textural pampas grass, broom corn, foraged thistle, olive and bleached ruscus to complete the ceremony look. Both arbor and aisle pieces pulled double duty inside the barn to accompany the bride and groom all evening to accentuate the head table.
Haven’s light and airy barn reception space was filled with a combination of farmhouse tables around the sides with round tables in the center. Rounds were topped with antique bronze gold compote bowl arrangements over crisp white linens while long tables had alternating table runner style centerpieces. The first style was created on a unique oblong gold tray in the center of the farmhouse table holding a pair of candles with greens and grasses splayed at the base. Classic bud vase arrangements ran the length of the remaining long tables filled with more of the same neutral and textural blooms and grasses. Each guest table was paired with a mix of votive candles in clear glass and gold holders, tall gold table numbers, and unique mini honey pots at each place setting. Speaking of sweet treats, the cake and dessert table held our final design of a trio of small arrangements of a single rose with bunny tail and dried grasses in milky white vases to round off the wedding day.
The combination of Meredith and Hunter’s neutral, boho wedding style and Haven’s bright and open venue made for a breathtaking fall wedding design. We love having the opportunity to work at a venue close to home in the Peoria area. Thanks for choosing J.Blu to bring your vision to life and congratulations to the Stauffer’s!
