Mica & Jake | Elegant Black & White Babies Breath Summer Wedding at The Hesed House Venue in Heyworth, IL

Mica and Jake’s black and white summer wedding featuring delicate babies breath was the picture of timeless elegance and soft romance combined. Mica and her maids each held traditional style, all white bouquets filled with lush blooms of playa blanca roses, ranunculus, carnations and spray roses surrounded with soft babies breath that perfectly complemented the bride’s sleek, open back dress and popped off the maids silky satin black gowns. Jake and his groomsmen kept their looks simple with classic black tuxedos needing no adornments to match the ladies. We love when couples include family members into the wedding party with personalized flowers and in this case, both mothers were honored and recognized with their own white nosegay bouquets to brighten their own long black gowns.

Catholic church ceremonies are typically stunning without additional decoration. Instead of a large, eye-catching altar arrangement, we designed two small, simple baby’s breath clouds with touches of white roses to sit behind the couple as they exchanged vows to incorporate the wedding theme into the space without pulling away from the church’s natural beauty. Post-ceremony, these dual pieces were repurposed for reception use with one set on the floor to accompany the mirrored seating chart display.

Warm candles and dainty baby’s breath filled the reception space at the Hesed House. Each rustic farmhouse guest table was dressed with a gauzy white table runner and topped end to end with pillar candle clusters engulfed in romantic airy babies breath clouds with accents of on theme black chargers and table numbers. Taking center stage however, was the sweetheart table lined on the front curved edge with the maids’ lush bouquets with Mica’s perched in the middle paired with even more candles on the table top and scattered at the base to round out the reception design.

The sheer quantity of baby’s breath required for this day alone made Mica and Jake’s wedding memorable. However, it’s the truly timeless and romantic vision that made this wedding a classic that we expect to see replicated for years to come. We are so grateful to be trusted with the floral design of your special day. We wish a lifetime of happiness to the new Mr. and Mrs. Beesley!
