After a much needed holiday break, we are back in a new year! Looking back at past weddings and events for the blog, it’s only fitting to start at the beginning. That brings us to our 2025 collaboration with Pear Tree Estate, one of our favorite venues, who holds tasting events for future clients throughout the year. For us, it’s an event to showcase our ability at J.Blu Design and gives us the opportunity to create pieces and use color schemes that we don’t often get to use in the wedding industry. This time around, we styled Pear Tree’s space with artful, elevated floral designs that incorporated vibrant hues of oranges, yellows, and hot pink with intention and sophistication, creating a look that felt both bold and beautifully composed.
Focusing part of your floral budget on a large floral arrangement or installation can help define the reception space. For this event, we centered a round table with solid yellow-orange linens in the middle of the room to hold one large, high impact piece atop a tall glass trumpet vase featuring bright blooms of roses, ranunculus, calla lilies and tulips with dark angular leaves. We paired the arrangement with an abundance of light pink taper candles in white holders and elegant ribbed votives at the base. This statement piece table set the tone and allowed us to go lighter with décor on the other tables. One secondary table style consisted of alternating smaller coordinating arrangements, petite bud vase clusters, and taper candles to create a dynamic runner down long patterned-linen covered tables. As a side note, upgrading to a few patterned linens to compliment the solids is a simple, yet effective way to elevate your whole reception design. On other supporting tables, we kept the look minimal with just a mix of candles in a cluster or run down the length. Having a variety of centerpiece styles makes sure to captivate your guests, add interest, and have smooth flow throughout the room.
At J.Blu we see every detail as an important component to your day that can add just the right touch to make the space feel complete without being overwhelming or busy. A couple arrangements on the bar to highlight the menu, seating chart candles, and hanging frames filled with candles and romantic trailing greenery are just a few of the small details that make a lasting impression. Pear Tree Estate provides one of the most beautiful canvases to design within and we love, every year, finding new and creative ways to style the exquisite venue.
