The start of a new wedding season is approaching quickly as the weather in central Illinois shifts from gray skies and winter whites to vibrant color beneath a warm blue sky. That same sense of warmth and joy that spring brings was beautifully reflected in Anna and Anthony’s summer wedding—and I expect to see colorful, romantic garden-party styles continue into the upcoming season.
Anna’s soft bouquet featured a variety of blooms in blush, pink, blue, and yellow, including roses, peonies, delphinium, and poppies. Delicate accents of ranunculus, orlaya, feverfew, mums, craspedia, and baby’s breath added texture and movement, all hand-tied with a light blue trailing satin ribbon. The bridesmaids wore different styles in a matching sky-blue hue, each carrying simple, mono-floral bouquets of baby’s breath tied with long white ribbon to complement the bride. They also carried parasols, a charming and practical touch for the warm summer sun. Our fashion-forward groom, Anthony, wore a coordinating pink boutonniere on his white tuxedo jacket, while his groomsmen kept to classic black.
For the ceremony, we elevated the traditional chapel aisle with bundles of baby’s breath tied to each pew using soft white satin ribbon. Two sweet flower girls wore coordinating baby’s breath crowns and scattered white rose petals down the aisle, creating a beautiful path for the bride’s entrance.
This was our first time designing at Mt. Hawley Country Club’s intimate reception space, and the setting did not disappoint. A stunning fireplace and mantel served as the focal point behind the newlyweds’ head table, styled with an antique gold mirror sign, clusters of bud vase arrangements, gold taper holders with blue and white candles, and flowing ribbon accents. Above the dance floor, a greenery chandelier adorned with colorful ribbon streamers added a playful and romantic touch.
On the guest tables, light blue and blush linens set the tone. One centerpiece style featured lush floral arrangements in antique gold compotes paired with a trio of votive candles. The second design, though simpler, made an impact with bright bud vase groupings complemented by taper candles and votives, tying the entire space together in a cohesive and inviting way. The overall atmosphere felt intimate, charming, and full of warm summer romance.
Looking back on Anna and Anthony’s wedding has me so excited for the season ahead—filled with beauty, love, and joyful color. Thank you for trusting us to bring your floral vision to life. We wish you a lifetime of happiness and love. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Randazzo!
