Kali & Jake | White + Blue Light & Airy Summer Wedding at The Hesed House Venue in Heyworth, IL

Kali and Jake chose a beautiful light and airy summer favorite color palette full of dainty white blooms with touches of light blue accents for their wedding at The Hesed House in Heyworth, Illinois. We designed Kali’s bouquet with white blooms featuring seasonal, locally grown dahlias, cosmo, scabiosa, bachelors buttons, ranunculus, stock, babies breath, and playa blanca roses with blue delphinium for a pop of color. For Jake, we customized a floral pocket square statement piece of the same white and blue flowers to match his bride while the groomsmen and ring bearer opted for white ranunculus boutonnieres in the traditional style. The bridesmaids petite white bouquets mirrored the style of the brides with bright whites that complimented their light blue, silky satin dresses. To round out the wedding party design, we created a unique flower girl basket with a ‘growing’ arrangement inside for the smallest member to carry down the aisle.

The Hesed House lake was the perfect ceremony backdrop for a large, square, wooden arbor. A large corner spray and upright spray were attached to the arbor and a third arrangement placed on the ground to surround the couple with delicate blooms and greenery while they exchanged vows. Post-ceremony these three pieces pulled double duty at the reception as they were moved behind and in front of the sweetheart table. The rest of the reception farmhouse tables were topped with simple bud vase table runner arrangements filled with cosmos, bachelors buttons, babies breath, blue delphinium and lisianthus paired with pillar and votive candles on a white gauzy runner. To complete the reception design, we added fresh blooms to the couples creamy white, two-tier wedding cake on a simple, natural wood cake stand.

Light and dainty white flowers with pops of light blue are the perfect combination for those hot summer days. The one of a kind personal flowers, ceremony statement pieces, and minimalist reception décor were so fun to design for Kali and Jake and we wish them all the best. Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs!
