Lauren and Trevor described their wedding style as whimsical, simple and natural. I’d add ethereal, airy and garden inspired. One of my favorite things about Lauren’s bouquet is how it looked different from every angle. We designed the bouquets with focals of purple scabiosa, blue-centered anemone, white ranunculus and cosmos with fillers of blue thistle, tweedia, wax flower, limonium, and veronica with soft touches of pink lisianthus and light colored eucalyptus greenery. The mostly white bouquets with shades of purple were the perfect color combination to highlight the stormy purple bridesmaids dresses. No member of the wedding party was missed as we designed simple white ranunculus boutonnieres and corsages for groomsmen and mothers as well as a unique coordinating flower girl wreath for her to carry down the aisle. We love it when couples include their furry family members and we were more than happy to design a custom floral collar for the smallest member of the wedding party.
If you want a floral statement at your wedding, but don’t have the budget for heavy florals everywhere, a show stopping arbor spray may just fit the bill. Lauren and Trevor opted for light florals on reception tables so they could splurge on a large display for their ceremony backdrop. We adorned Hornbaker Garden’s impressive wood slab arbor with two large sprays filled with purple, pink, white, and blue blooms to frame the couple as they shared their vows. Even better, we designed both pieces to be easily removed and placed on a smaller arbor within the reception space to serve as a photo backdrop to get the most of their flowers and be enjoyed all evening long. The arbor was paired with complimenting duel arrangements at the back of the aisle atop rustic wine barrels to lead the way to the altar.
We always recommend having a coordinated variety of centerpieces on guest tables. Round tables filled the reception space with centerpiece options of lanterns, gold hoops, or candle groupings all on cut log pieces to add a rustic touch. To bring them all together, we added light touches of blooms and eucalyptus greenery to each style to make one cohesive design. A unique king’s table in the center of the room served as the wedding party table topped with a runner of heavy greenery and pillar candles for a romantic glow. The final floral touches were delicately placed on the edges of an all white, textured, three-tier wedding cake featuring the pink blooms of lisianthus, purple limonium, white cosmos, and waxflower with greenery accents to round out the design.
Lauren and Trevor’s unique, whimsical color palette was a welcomed challenge and a joy to design with. We love seeing the couples inspiration they have for their wedding day and watching it all come together to create something magical. Thanks for letting J.Blu capture your floral vision. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Murphy!
