Pear Tree Estate Tasting Event | Romantic White, Pink, Peach, and Blue Garden Inspired Spring Wedding

March 2023

Each year, Pear Tree Estate hosts tastings for upcoming couples who plan to use their space. These events also provide an opportunity for vendor collaboration between the venue, florists, photographers, boutiques, bakeries, and others to put on a mock, full-service wedding to present to the guests. This year’s color palette was classic spring, full of creamy whites, pale pinks, and soft peaches with a touch of blue. We took our floral inspiration from the blue and white damask linens on the round tables and the blue silk ribbons at each place setting, featuring blooms of white and blush roses, light pink tulips, and blue delphinium.

We began our design in the foyer, where guests were welcomed by a farmhouse table featuring a large arrangement in a silver compote bowl paired with smaller side arrangements and votives in silver hobnail votive holders all over a dusty blue velvet table runner. The simple wooden wall with tea-lights in hanging globes was a perfect romantic backdrop to lead into the ceremony and reception space.

Duel floor arrangements placed at the back of the seats ushered guests into the ceremony space where pillar candle groupings were lined down the aisle for a romantic glow leading way to the altar. The focus of the ceremony was two large, asymmetrical floral pillars in front of the large windows paired with white draping. This ‘broken arch’ design is becoming a popular alternative for arbors as it gives a more romantic and garden feel to the space. Focusing your budget on a piece like this can be much more impactful and make for better photo opportunities throughout the day than putting those dollars into smaller arrangements all around the venue.

In my opinion, two of the most impactful ways to elevate your reception space are with flowers and upgraded linens. Flowers breathe life, color, and depth into any space. Patterned or textured tablecloths, napkins, and runners give a visual and tactile experience for your guests. For the reception space, we complimented the linens by using a combination of silver compote bowl arrangements on round tables, and smaller vase arrangements, bud vases, and taper candles to create a dynamic runner down the long farmhouse tables. To accentuate and bring the light blue color up into the tall ceilings, we chose to use blue delphinium en masse in a flower cloud type piece suspended over the long farm tables. Keeping the table décor simple allowed the candles to highlight the hanging piece all night long.

Of course we can’t forget the details and personal pieces. The bridal bouquet complimented the elegant gown from Elite Bridal with creamy white and peach roses, light pink tulips and carnations, touches of burgundy Queen Anne’s Lace, clematis, and blue delphinium tied with a trailing light blue ribbon. Pops of color were added to cocktail tables with bud vases of roses and delicate muscari and pennycress to pair with tea-light candles over a lace tablecloth. Blooms were also added to the modern spring wedding cake designed by Cakes by Lori with greenery details around the dessert table to complete the tasting atmosphere.

We love any chance we get to work with Pear Tree Estate, collaborate with other talented wedding vendors and the opportunity to create and showcase new designs!
